Paper "Refining Tuberculosis Detection in CXR Imaging: Addressing Bias in Deep Neural Networks via Interpretability"

  • Resulting from the Master's thesis, we showed that interpretability measurements expose hidden bias in high-performing models; balanced pre-training raised external-set AUROC from 0.79 to 0.88 and tripled interpretability alignment
